Owner: The Source Shop (1993 –2000)

In 1993 Adrian founded The Source Shop Inc., a business that has expanded over the years to be a major supplier of equipment, apparel, expendables and accessories to the Film, Television and Live Event Production community.  In early 2000, Adrian passed on his business interests to his staff in order to pursue an ever increasing commitment to his Lighting Design and Consultation practice.

Manager/Lighting Designer: Lightsource; Film and TV production support Facility, Toronto (1988 –1993)

When the opportunity arose to enter the business world of lighting, Adrian took over managing the Lightsource Rental facility at Wallace Studio’s in Toronto, all the while working as Lighting Designer/Director on selected projects such as the Skydome Opening Ceremonies and the CTV Barcelona Olympics.

Landmark Productions – Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future (1987)

One of the largest production firms to set up in Toronto in the late ‘80’s hired Adrian to design and install their 80,000 sq ft studio facility. A complete grid, dimming and cyclorama system was constructed in an abandoned bus terminal. A second 6000 sq. ft. studio was subsequently added to shoot all the miniature and motion control segments. For 7 months “Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future” was the mainstay of the Ontario Film industry.

Lighting Director: Global Television Network (1980 –1986)

After several years in theatre, the opportunity presented itself to make the switch to the broadcast world with the Global Television Network. After 3 years working on various location and studio productions including Wintario and Loving Friends and Perfect Couples, Adrian was promoted to Lighting Director for the Network, with responsibility for the look of all on air presentations, remote broadcasts for the Ontario Lottery Corporation, the management and operation of the Lighting Department, rebuilding the Studio facilities and the Lighting Direction of all non Global productions using the Don Mills Facility. In 1986, as a result of his work at Global with Jim Henson Production’s, Adrian was asked to work with the International division of Henson & Associates on several projects in the UK and Los Angeles.
