Since the SkyDome Opening Ceremonies in 1989 Adrian Goldberg has been designing the lighting for major live events for Broadcast. Moving from Grey Cup Half time shows to Special Olympics World Games closing ceremonies, he then landed the job which has given him some of the ultimate challenges of his lighting career.
Starting in 1995, Adrian Goldberg became the lighting designer for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He travelled throughout North America and across Canada, designing the lighting for all of Reverend Graham’s multi-day missions, including Reverend Graham’s farewell mission in New York City in 2005 for a live audience of 250,000 people at Flushing Meadows. Indoor arenas, outdoor stadiums, late day sunsets, torrential rainstorms all added to the creative challenges of this type of work.
In 2002 Adrian Goldberg joined the technical team for Franklin Graham’s international missions. Since then he has designed missions in 18 countries around the world. Uruguay, Columbia, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Argentina, Philippines, Australia, Estonia, Romania, Northern Ireland, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea have all brought with them their own creative challenges and amazing experiences. Designing for both the intimacy of the broadcast camera and the vastness of an audience of 100,000 people per night continues to stimulate Adrian’s creative approach
